Sheffield Wednesday head into the summer with an air of uncertainty, not at least because of the EFL saga hanging over their head.
The Owls were charged for financial misconduct and now face all sorts of repercussions, including the prospect of a 21-point deduction but they will fight everything thrown at them, so it is surely set to rumble on.
They are also in line for some sort of rebuild job as several first-teamers are out of contract at the end of the season, one of which is left-back Morgan Fox.
He’s maybe been one of the shining lights amidst their clouded future.
The 26-year-old has revived his Wednesday career under Garry Monk, becoming his first-choice option and winning fans over who had previously slated him.
But they had every right to, he just wasn’t good enough last season under Jos Luhukay, and even though Carlos Carvalhal signed him in 2017, it is the Dutchman that poorly exposed him.

Last season, Fox recorded his worst passing success rate of any season at the Owls (66.8%) while also his lowest average for clearances (2.2) and crosses (0.4) per game, two key attributes of the modern-day full-back.
Under Monk, he has started their last 17 games in all competitions and is on track to surpass the 26 starts he managed in 2017/18.
According to TEAMtalk, the club have opened discussions with Fox over a new contract, which is absolutely the right stance to take.
It first means that the Owls boss has one position less to worry about in the summer – he is set to lose over eight first-team players – and secondly, it’s a perfect reward for his impressive turnaround in form.

Fox has attracted the interest of several Championship rivals, including Nottingham Forest, West Brom and Derby County, so it is imperative to open these talks now.
No defender in the squad, that has featured in ten or more matches, has recorded more tackles per game (2.2) than he has whilst he tops the charts for blocks, averaging 0.6 per match, via WhoScored.
At just 26, Fox has plenty more to offer at Hillsborough, and under Monk, he’s proven to be a crucial member of the team. If the two parties can agree on a new contract before the end of the season, then Wednesday are onto a major winner.
